The August long weekend is here and there's some exciting events on tap this weekend that you won't want to miss!
Field Day is this Saturday, July 30th, 10:00 a.m. at the clubhouse. Be sure to come on down for races and fun for the whole family.
August long weekend is here and that means so is event night. There are still some tickets left but they are selling out quickly so don't forget to purchase yours asap! This years theme is "The Great Gatsby" and we encourage everyone to dress up. So ladies get your flapper dresses out of the closet, throw on some pearls and get those sparkly headpieces ready. Gentlemen throw on some suspenders and a fedora, slick back that hair and get ready for a night filled with music, dinner, and of course lots of dancing. Hurry up and get your tickets before they're gone.
The 32nd Annual Thunder Run will take place this Saturday, July 30, 2016 @ 3:30 pm. Starting line is at the Clubhouse, registration begins at 3:00 pm.
By popular demand we are introducing a two option race for the first time this summer – the full 7.5 km race, covering both west and east shore, and a shorter 4.5 km fun run, covering just east shore.
The finish line will be on the beach at 70 Centre Beach Rd. (Burkett cottage) with refreshments and prizes to follow the race.
Just do it!
Reminder that the TB farmer's market takes place every Thursday starting at 4 p.m. at the clubhouse. Come sample some amazing food and products from some great local vendors.
In support of Georgian Bay General Hospital...
Come see Juno nominated group Quartetto Gelato perform at a beautiful estate overlooking Georgian Bay. This group has many noteworthy accomplishments, including winning Best Classical Group at the 10th annual independent Music Awards in 2010. Their CDs were even taken on a NASA flight in 1996! Talk about “out of this world” music…
Dinner will be served by none other than our talented local chef Larry Lalonde from ELM catering. Our silent and live auctions have great items lined up, such as:
- A make your own wood fired pizza & wine party at Dillon’s restaurant in Midland
- Plane ride & lunch for 2
- Speed boat tour around Georgian Bay and lunch at the Boathouse
- A mystery Mercedes swag bag
- An original piece of artwork by William Monague made specifically for this event
And many more!
This year’s auctioneer is a past head coach and General Manager of several NHL teams, Mike Keenan!
We are proud to say that our volunteer committee, staff and many others have been working tirelessly to make this a fantastic event. Our goal is $100,000 for a much needed new CT Scanner. Tickets are available at https://midlandpenetang.snapd.com/#/events/view/947509 or by calling Shelly Price at 705-526-1300 *5338

Quote from Dr. Vikram Ralhan, Emergency Physician –
“A hospital cannot function without a CT Scanner nowadays. Most physicians will not even work in a hospital unless they actually have a CT scanner. It’s become the imaging standard of care in so many different tests. If you cannot diagnosis in an expeditious manner the patient’s life could be at risk”.
