As I begin my first stint in the “presidential “chair, I'm most struck by the incredible commitment, talent and volunteerism of your Executive members as well as all of the volunteers out in the larger Thunder Beach community.

2014 TBA Memberships are Now Open

April 18, 2014

President’s Message

Hello fellow Thunder Beach members! The calendar signals that it's spring, however the bay is still covered with ice and the snow has yet to melt away even though it is now mid-April. What a winter we've had in southern Ontario this year! Hopefully a pleasant summer makes up for the amount of snow and cold we had to endure.

Your executive has been working hard to get the summer organized with new activities and old reliables. To assist with the Children’s Program we are happy to welcome Susan and Dave Butler who've agreed to work alongside Michelle Morneau, our Children’s Program Director, to manage our program this year. Their experience in the field of academia will be an extremely valuable asset to all of us.

As well, Courtney Jones and Ashley Jones will be working alongside Laura Logaridis our Social Program Director to bring fresh and creative ideas to our summer events. Our website as you can see has had a small facelift and we hope that it will make it easier for you to navigate and register for all your needs. Using the website to register continues to be the most efficient and cost effective way to communicate with us. Take the time to read Mark Macdonald’s article below and find out more from our Web Master directly.

Here is hoping that summer is just around the corner. See you at the beach soon!

Winter 2013 TBA Newsletter

November 27, 2013

tba-winter

President's Message

Another summer is over, and the winter months are already fast approaching. Although the weather last summer was not as warm as some of us would have liked, it was nice enough to ensure excellent event participation by all our members and their families. 2013 saw the rejuvenation of our children’s program with new ideas and innovations resulting in stronger attendance and the continuation of our progressive tennis on the courts. Both of which we will continue to build on again next year.

We participated in 2013 in the Federation of Tiny Township Shoreline Association (FOTTSA) in our attempt to make our voice heard in the deliberations regarding water levels of Georgian Bay. Later on in this newsletter you will see a report from John Philpott, our representative on this Association, on our progress to date. We plan on continuing our participation in 2014.
